Honestly, I don't know if you know me or not, but I'm a brony facebook admin on a few large pages.

To the important part, you seem logical, you seem reasonable. What are your feels about the future of MLP?
Truth be told I actually don't know you, but I will answer your question...

The future of MLP was once in the hands of the fandom, as it was down to us to buy the merchandise and to support an exponential growth of an unlikely fandom...

But now, that has changed and it is no longer in the hands of us nor the staff that put in the hard work and dedicated perfectionism applied to their craftsmanship each week.

Rather the future of this fandom lies in the hands of the corporate executives and true bosses of this franchise... Hasbro.

The unfortunate thing with this realization is that Hasbro has a stellar reputation (almost as bad as EA and Capcom's) with shooting themselves in the foot by being ruthless towards the fanbase of any of their product...

Because of this, the future looks bleak for the fandom... Because nobody wants to be involved with a fanbase that has been bleached by the tides of corporate greed and freemium content to cash in on gullibility.

That is why there is no future for bronies unless Hasbro changes their ways...
You actually believe they will purposely break up the fandom...?
Well not intentionally...

It's more to do with their cut-throat tactics in how they defend their Intellectual Property by issuing Cease and Desist orders left right and center...

It's a shame that they don't use different measure such as attempting to find a way around the closing down of multiple fan projects such as MLP Online and Fighting is Magic...

That way they could portray themselves in a better light, have a much better PR and not be shown as the "demons" or "villains" or even the "Big Bad" some bronies portray them to be.

They are just a corporation that need to protect their copyright and they are subject to the whims of a faulty law, and unfortunately they need to act in a manner that works for them but also doesn't detract and alienate an already hostile fanbase.

Yes, I do mean the word "hostile", because bronies now-a-days don't seem to be as loving and tolerating as they once were...

It's more to deal with the fact that so many of us have dealt with so much stuff that we, as a fandom, have gone past our breaking limit... C'est la vie, as it were...
